Products & Services

Our aim for Leaf - Mother & Childcare consultancy is to make a social impact.
With our Lactation Program, we're doing this by community engagement, education, capacity building for skilled lactation support
and offering breastfeeding materials for the ease to parents & health facilities to increase exclusive breastfeeding rates in Ghana.

Exclusive breastfeeding

"Exclusive breastfeeding" is defined as no other food or drink, not even water, except breast milk (including milk expressed or from a wet nurse) for 6 months of life, but allows the infant to receive ORS, drops and syrups (vitamins, minerals and medicines).

Breastfeeding is an unequalled way of providing ideal food for the healthy growth and development of infants; it is also an integral part of the reproductive process with important implications for the health of mothers. As a global public health recommendation, infants should be exclusively breastfed1 for the first six months of life to achieve optimal growth, development and health.

Thereafter, to meet their evolving nutritional requirements, infants should receive nutritionally adequate and safe complementary foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. - World Health Organization, Global strategy on infant and young child feeding, May 2001

    Clients Feedback

Having a premature baby came with some breastfeeding challenges.
I was not able to produce enough milk for my son.
Luckily I was introduced to Albertine by a friend.

Her breastfeeding techniques and commitment to supporting me
as a new mother relived some stress and as a result,
I was able to produce more milk and bond with my son
